The vision
Our clients wanted a home that felt like a true year-round retreat — not just a weekend getaway they visited a few times a season. The goal was to preserve the cabin's rustic character and connection to the landscape, while making it warmer, brighter, and genuinely comfortable to live in, no matter the time of year or the weather outside. Above all, they wanted a space that still felt unmistakably theirs once the work was done.
The process
We reinforced the structure and insulation first, addressing years of drafts and heat loss, then opened up the floor plan to bring in more natural light throughout the main living areas. Reclaimed wood accents and local stone finishes were layered in to keep the mountain character alive, while modern fixtures, updated wiring, and energy-efficient windows brought everything up to date without losing that original charm.

The final result is a home that feels warm, grounded, and effortlessly livable in every season, inside and out.
